Recruiting leaders know that if their companies aren’t sourcing and hiring for diversity they are missing valuable talent and experience. This is one of the reasons diversity has been a focus area for improvement in recent years.
Many organizations start with training. While diversity training is important for creating awareness, it doesn’t a¬ffect human behavior. A 2017 meta-analysis of studies investigating bias training confirmed this. Formal training can reduce unconscious bias, but it does not change behavior.13
This has put talent leaders in a di cult position. The way to make real progress on diversity hiring initiatives is by using systematic processes that apply data-driven decision making. With structured interviews and AI, you can overcome unconscious bias and make hiring more equitable for all candidates.

Early in my career, I worked on the shop floor at Home Depot. As part of my management training, I rotated into an assistant store manager position, and the team I found myself leading was full of highly experienced master-tradespeople. I quickly realised that my lovely college degree was of zero use when customers wanted to know how to fix their leaky taps or install new light fixtures. No amount of friendliness could overcome the fact that I simply couldn’t answer those questions. Yet, our experienced associates were helping customers find exactly what they needed.
eLearning has become the prevailing approach to employee onboarding, compliance training, and professional development. The efficiencies that eLearning affords stem from automation, customization and self-service. These attributes allow end users (employees and others) to access just the right training at just the right time. They also provide Learning and Development administrators the peace of mind that training will be delivered as needed, in a consistent manner and that tracking the progress of individuals will also be made simpler by automation.
In a business environment where being able to build and maintain a solid brand reputation and lasting relationships with your customers is essential for ongoing success, effective compliance training for team members is critical. Assembling quality course content, either through purchasing off-the-shelf compliance courseware or developing training material in-house or in partnership with an external developer, and delivering that material in a consistent manner, can help protect your organization and minimize the damage from compliance transgressions.

Accelerate your organization’s adoption of cloud technologies while accelerating your own IT career. The importance of nurturing a talented workforce cannot be understated. It enables your organization to perform effectively today, while also preparing you for future growth. But in reality, how many are companies actually nurturing their employees?
Too irrelevant to the team leader.
Such are the complaints heard repeatedly about Performance Management and Engagement systems.
And these don’t even touch on the biggest problem of all: current systems produce a tidal wave of unreliable data. The ratings they yield are based on the notion that, with enough time and training, managers (and peers) can become reliable raters of other people’s skills and competencies. Sadly, that’s not true. A large body of research reveals:
61% of your manager’s rating of you is a reflection of the
manager, not of you. Your organization, apparently unaware of this, then persists on paying you, training you, and promoting you—and everyone else in the organization—based on these flawed ratings.
Foodservice managers who have lingering doubts about investing in on-site
language training should consider this:
By 2027, over one million new jobs are expected to be added to the restaurant
According to the National Restaurant Association, “All of this means that
foreign-born employees will be increasingly important to the restaurant
industry’s ability to expand and create jobs in the years ahead.”38
For foodservice operators and managers who want to plan for their future now,
the question is obvious: What’s the best way to address these issues?
Rosetta Stone can provide some answers.
