In July 2013 Acxiom commissioned Forrester Consulting to evaluate how companies use the data they collect from their customers to make better decisions on their marketing campaigns by gauging their experiences and attitudes around their use of and future vision for using customer data across multiple marketing channels. In order to understand this topic, we conducted interviews with 11 executives representing a range of roles and perspectives, including consumer packaged goods companies, financial services organizations, and agencies.
The Internet of Things (IoT) presents an opportunity to collect real-time information about every physical operation of a business. From the temperature of equipment to the performance of a fleet of wind turbines, IoT sensors can deliver this information in real time. There is no doubt that enterprise cloud is a new and improved IT strategy. Cloud services have proven to improve organizational agility and reduce the burden of IT infrastructure and cost. Moving to the cloud is no longer a question of “if” but “when” and “how.” Most enterprises we interviewed are moving to cloud in phases over time and matching workloads to their perceptions of a vendor’s cloud capabilities that will best support their objectives. Many will require the ability and flexibility to support multivendor cloud and multiple deployment choices (e.g., public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud).

In this study, Forrester lays out the benefits and costs of Zendesk’s family of customer service products, with the analysis pointing to benefits of more than $3.8 million.
PwC surveyed 235 IT leaders and interviewed another 35 from large, medium, and small enterprises to understand the buying decisions of IT leaders, across a wide variety of networking components (i.e., switches, SDN, and infrastructure monitoring solutions) within the data center. This report highlights the survey and interview insights to help Enterprise IT leaders understand the trends and implications of multi cloud environments.

Oracle Exadata is powerful, optimised, and cloud-ready. IDC has put the business value of the Oracle Exadata to the test by interviewing eight customers. They reported better business outcomes and efficiencies as a result of improved database performance, scalability, and reliability. The resulting whitepaper also reveals business value highlights, such as 429 percent five-year ROI, US$222,000 additional revenue per 100 users, and 94 percent less unplanned downtime.
IDC recently interviewed organizations using Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JBoss EAP) to standardize and improve their application development efforts. These Red Hat customers praised JBoss EAP for providing a cost-effective solution that enables their standardization efforts and delivers real value and savings over legacy, proprietary solutions.
IDC analyzed the business value that six surveyed organizations are realizing through their use of Red Hat integration products based on interviews conducted from April to June 2014. Interviewees were from companies ranging in size from just hundreds of employees to several hundred thousand employees, with a mean employee base of just under 92,000. Companies interviewed included representatives from the telecommunications, IT, shipment and logistics, and document management industries. These organizations are headquartered in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Norway and several of them operate on a global scale.
