The network is the foundation of robust security, and the critical network security element is the firewall. For that reason, Cisco has been committed to delivering a next-generation firewall that can stop threats at the edge and focus on security efficacy. Those efforts are paying off in substantial momentum, and market observers are taking note.
Cisco has been named a leader in the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Network Firewalls.
Beginning with our world-class threat-intelligence organization, Talos - the Cisco NGFW stands out from the competition. It goes beyond prevention and gives visibility into potentially malicious file activity across users, hosts, networks, and infrastructure. It saves you time and enables automation using our integrated architecture.

Enterprise analytics has quickly evolved from a centralized business intelligence function for historical reporting and dashboards to a democratized capability where anyone can access, analyze and act on all available information, often in real-time while employing advanced techniques. But the complex, dynamic and urgent nature of modern data analytics demands a new approach to data integration.
Just like your business, technology never stops advancing. Each year, there are new ways that technology can automate processes, lower costs, and enhance customer and employee satisfaction - all with the goal of increasing revenue! And while it can be difficult to change how your business works, leaving old methods behind and embracing new technology can help lead your business to more success and growth.
The technology landscape in the financial services sector is vast, ranging from cutting-edge to mission-critical, each having an impact on the industry as a whole. Customer-facing services and back-end operations alike are seeing real benefits from innovation, including greater efficiencies and higher levels of customer satisfaction.
The rate at which technology is evolving is increasing almost exponentially. In the business sector, hardware has given way to software-defined everything, while many on-premises technologies are now offered as a service. Much of the advances in technology over the last few years have been the direct result of the growing ubiquity of the cloud and faster connectivity speeds, both of which have enabled companies to adopt digital transformation technologies to help them work smarter and more efficiently.
Intent-based networking is the difference between a network that needs continuous attention and one that simply understands what your organization needs and makes it happen. It’s the difference between doing thousands of tasks manually and having an automated system that helps you focus on business goals. Cisco® Digital Network Architecture (Cisco DNA™) is your team’s bridge to an intentbased network. It is an open, extensible, software-driven architecture that accelerates and simplifies your enterprise network operations, while lowering costs and reducing your risk. Only Cisco provides a single network fabric that is powered by deep intelligence and integrated security to deliver automation and assurance across your entire organization at scale. Cisco DNA gives IT time back from time-consuming, repetitive network configuration tasks so you can focus on the innovation your business needs. Cisco DNA automation and assurance are built on a Software-Defined Networking (SDN) controller, ri
Productivity gains are related to the rapid adoption and optimization of applications and software. HP helps small and midsize businesses increase the productivity of their application investments through the use of the HP ProLiant Gen9 servers.
Mobility, social media, analytics and the cloud are revolutionizing how data is accessed, used, and secured for small to midsize businesses. With data security threats are on the rise, keep your business running with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
To compete in an era of mobility, big data, and always-on services, small and midsize businesses need to improve productivity and deliver new services fast. And that’s a problem if you’re living with servers that were not designed for today’s challenges.
Technology enables business transformation To thrive in today’s idea economy, small and midsize companies like yours are using technology to transform their business. Like your peers, you know that mobile applications, cloud-based solutions, and advanced analytics can help you increase productivity, reduce costs, and grow your business. Older servers, storage, and networking products weren’t built to handle the exploding amount of data that is being shared today. In order to take advantage of these modern applications, many companies have found that they need to close the gap between what their business demands and what their IT systems can deliver.
For small and midsize businesses, the realities of a dynamic marketplace and ever-changing customer expectations pose continual challenges and opportunities. Big Data, the cloud and mobility are changing the way information moves and connections are made across the organization, offering productive potential while promising competitive advantage. But adoption of these advanced technologies will require a transformation in the capacities, functions and methods of IT.
The Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG) characterizes traditional security tactics as a "messy independent array of independent technologies." A decade ago, this could suffice, but it's no match for today's requirements. Read how an integrated, threat-focused approach can help.
Research conducted by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), sponsored by Oracle,
provides answers. The results show that a proactive security strategy backed by a fully
engaged C-suite and board of directors reduced the growth of cyber-attacks and
breaches by 53% over comparable firms. These findings were compiled from responses
by 300 firms, across multiple industries, against a range of attack modes and over a
two-year period from February 2014 to January 2016.
The lessons are clear. As cyber-attackers elevate their game, the response must be an
enterprise solution. Only C-suites and boards of directors marshal the authority and
resources to support a truly enterprise-wide approach. In sum, proactive cyber-security
strategies, supported by senior management, can cut vulnerability to cyber-attack in half.

Endpoint devices continue to be one of the favorite targets for cyberattacks.
A successfully compromised laptop provides a foothold for a
threat to move laterally and infect other endpoints within the organization.
To address this critical vulnerability, security leaders must integrate
endpoint security into their broader network security architecture. A
deep connection between endpoint and network security offers key
improvements to holistic enterprise protection. It provides risk-based
visibility of all endpoint devices, establishes policy-based access controls,
enables real-time threat intelligence sharing, and automates security
responses and workflows for effective and efficient protection that
conserves time and money.

This document includes general information about the Pure Storage architecture as it compares to SolidFire. Not intended to be exhaustive, it covers architectural elements where the solutions differ and impact overall suitability for the needs of the Next Generation Data Center (NGDC).
When comparing the architecture for Ceph and SolidFire, it is clear
that both are scale-out storage systems designed to use commodity
hardware, and the strengths of each make them complementary
solutions for datacenter design.

Security was once largely limited to the confines of an on-premises world, but now it must extend to the cloud, as well as a myriad of mobile devices.
Employees and companies now expect increasingly complex interactions with devices, apps, data, and even other users. As many companies struggle to keep up with traditional single-point solutions, and limited budgets, this pressure is creating security blind spots for IT.
In a world of evolving threats, it is becoming increasingly impossible to address all of these issues with an on-premises solution.
